Between the Suns - Kabbalat Shabbat for Families

Welcoming Shabbat invites us all to create a shared space in time—a moment to reconnect with ancient, family, and new traditions, and to weave them into our lives today. Together, we’ll explore the elements of the Shabbat ceremony, infusing them with meaning that resonates for youth, families, communities, and the wider world.

During the activity, everyone gathers around a festive, beautifully set Shabbat table. There’s a little conversation, a few blessings, lots of singing, and plenty of joy. The experience is accompanied by live music, and it’s even better (though not required) when participants share their own talents—playing instruments, singing, reading, baking, cooking, and more
